The Ditchley Foundation

A Legacy for Ditchley

Following on from the successful 50th Anniversary Campaign, the Ditchley Foundations in the UK, the United States and Canada are promoting support through legacies as a long-term strategy to secure continuing financial health.

By actively encouraging such gifts into the future, we are making a strong statement of our own commitment to sustaining Ditchley’s purpose and spirit in line with David Wills’s original vision for the Foundation.

We place great value on every gift that Ditchley receives – by legacy or otherwise – and seek to demonstrate how we put it to use.  Your generosity will assist the Foundation in fostering transatlantic and wider dialogue on global policy issues and in preserving a unique and historic house for future generations.

The most substantial legacies can be used to create named endowment funds which will provide a perpetual income for a particular area of activity.  If you would like your gift to be used in this way, we will be happy to advise on areas suitable for this type of support.

Any donation large or small is welcome – as we appreciate that there will be dependants and other charities and institutions which may take priority.  Donating through the mechanism of a Will requires careful thought and planning and we recommend you consult qualified legal and financial professionals to maximise the potential of any Will for all beneficiaries and to minimise tax liabilities where they may exist.

In addition to building the endowment of the Foundation, we have identified three key areas towards which donations can be applied to ensure the greatest impact on the quality of our conference activity and the stewardship of the Mansion.  Click on each title for further information.
